SECOND EAST ASIAN SYMPOSIUM ON BIOPHYSICS
Beijing China from May 19 through 23
Professor Xun Shen, Secretary General of the Biophysical Society of
China
has sent me a number of FINAL ANNOUNCEMENTS for the Second East Asian
Symposium on Biophysics. These application kits include an abstract
form
and full scientific program details.
Registration costs are USD$250 for regular participants, students are
$150.
It is possible to apply for partial financial assistance if you are
a
student. This assistance can be substantial and was provided by the
IUPAB
(International Union of Pure and Applied Biophysics). My guess is that
it
might cover most of the airfare for postgraduate students.
All applications must be received by January 15, 1997.
The application kit contains an abstract form and all details such as
accommodation at the Longshan Hotel USD$80/night/room (with bath) and
three
meals a day cost USD$15/day.
If you would like to receive a brochure, please let me know by return email.

Next Newsletter will contain a report of the FASTS Council meeting and
preliminary information concerning the ASB meeting in Melbourne in
1997.
