The 36th Annual Conference of the Australian Society for Biophysics

The 2013 ASB meeting was held jointly with the Australian Physiological Society and the Physiological Society of New Zealand. The meeting took place from 2nd to 5th of December at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. The program of the meeting and information about invited lectures can be found here.

The Young Biophysicist Award for 2012 was awarded to Tamsyn Hilder (ANU) for her talk "Characterizing various inward rectifier potassium channels".

Nandhitha Subramian (middle) was awarded the student prize for best poster and ZhiGuang Jia (left) was presented with the student prize for best oral presentation.

Cyril Curtain was presented with his Life Membership certificate at the Annual Meeting. Cyril was awarded Life Membership in 2011 for services to the society including his long contribution as secretary and also in the incorporation of the society.
